Fennec (Mobile FireFox) for Android

These tidbits of knowledge are floating around out there in the plasma, and Martin seems to latch onto them very often!

Thanks

It looks good, but I sure wish he would have blown his nose BEFORE the video lol."Here id fennec SNOOOOORT it is a good browser SNOOOOORT " LMAO:icon_eek:

Looks great, firefox is hands down the greatest browser. My only concern though is that Firefox is a major ram hog and I'm hoping they have this somewhat sorted out on the fennec counterpart, because I know first hand that they have not been able to sort it out on the PC throughout the past few years.

Hopefully we'll see this in '10 but I'm not getting my hopes up. They have been REALLY slow with this. They first announced it back in late '07. Then nothing was heard for most of '08. Last year we got some news here and there but nothing major. It seems they concentrated on the Nokia platform (it's been a beta for Nokia phones for several months) but still nothing even about WM. I will admit this is beyond my programing capabilities, but 2+ years just to get to beta 1 seems like a bit much. Almost like it's just a side project or something they are not really concerned with.

Guess I'm tired and skimmed over the article, but I didn't notice if it said it would support multitouch like Dolphin does. I read another article a few months ago but hadn't heard anything since. Looking forward to this.

That's a bit disheartening to hear =\
