Astro has stood the test of time with me. And you can do network shares as well.

Root explorer is the most used id say

If rooted use Root Explorer. If not rooted use Astro.

Astro is perfect, does all that you need, has a built in backup and restore utility for apps, etc... As others have said, once we get root, then Root Explorer is a bit more powerful...

I use ES File Explorer.

I was using Astro, but then I couldn't find the external SD card on my Rezound. I made the switch to ES and never looked back.
