Files not syncing in Rubix 1.6...?

Guys,
I'm having a very strange issue. Today i went to load some new music and new ring tones on my phone from my computer. I plugged in my phone, hooked up via USB mass storage, copied a hundred or so songs in to /music and a ringtone to /audio/ringtones....So the files show up just fine in Astro, but for some strange reason, they will not show up in the music player (any music player, i tried 4) nor will my ring tone show up in my ring tones in settings. What on earth could cause this to happen???? This is a HUGE problem for me obviously...as my droid is my primary mp3 player. Thanks in advance.

EDIT - It also appears that Gmail isn't syncing correctly...and yes i do have auto sync turned on under accounts.

Yeaaaah well I ended up just switching over to Chevys ss ...an absolute shame because I LOVED this rom..but that unfortunately is a deal breaker. Problem solved now. I tried everything I could...clearing data cache...reflashing....battery pulls....I just don't know why it wouldn't work.

I had this issue yesterday. I ended up clearing data, cache and reflashing 1.6. I loaded pics via usb and the gallery wouldn't refresh. The camera pictures it took refreshed no problem. I haven't tried new videos or audio files yet.

Hopefully Drod will come up with a fix

gmail sync has been odd lately.
they were having issues last week but i thought everything was fixed.

I did notice that it takes some time for say a photo that i put on the phone to show up in the gallery.
It's inconvenient i guess but not a deal breaker for me.
I use winamp for music and that doesn't experience the delay.

I've always had to either restart my phone or remount the sd card to get new items to load on music / gallery.. have you tried either of these?

Having this problem with my gallery. I've rebooted, remounted, etc. I reorganized my pictures through Astro and they aren't syncing in my gallery. Very frustrating! Please help!

Clear Gmail cache/settings.
Menu>Settings>Applications>Manage Apps>Gmail>Clear Data/Clear Cache

As for the music not showing up, did you make sure your SD is unmounted? Try a reboot? Thats a weird issue. You sure you didn't load the music on the internal memory and not the SD?

There was an issue with incognito theme causing this for a while.. not certain it got fixed.. but for some reason, the process/service that scans for new media files wasn't running properly... Had several people report this with pics moved in, and gallery not picking them up. Solved by reinstalling Focused with no themes...

Gmail is a seperate issue.. google has been having issues recently for one, and clearing data/cache for the gmail app should resolve for any other issue on Focused (assuming sync is checked for it in accounts).

If this was on Focused with no theme.. then I'm at a loss.. it should work just fine...

There was an issue with incognito theme causing this for a while.. not certain it got fixed.. but for some reason, the process/service that scans for new media files wasn't running properly... Had several people report this with pics moved in, and gallery not picking them up. Solved by reinstalling Focused with no themes...

Gmail is a seperate issue.. google has been having issues recently for one, and clearing data/cache for the gmail app should resolve for any other issue on Focused (assuming sync is checked for it in accounts).

If this was on Focused with no theme.. then I'm at a loss.. it should work just fine...

Nandroid, so you don't lose anything, then try reinstalling without wiping data/cache, and/or wipe data/cache, and see if it fixes... You can always go back to your nandroid once you figure out which one solves the problem.. one of them will. Once you get it working, I'm pretty sure you can reinstall the theme, and it should work!
