Finally upgrading from the DX - transfer apps

We got 2 maxx's for $199 each and keep unlimited for 2 more years. My wife wasn't due for an upgrade until mid august so I'm fine with that. My question is: coming from the dx - which is NOT rooted, what is the best way to get all my data over intact (apps and app settings, etc)? Mybackup pro; google sync; backup assistant??? Is this possible stock or will we have to load every app individually? I hate the thought of getting some of the newer versions of the apps I have because of the reviews on some of the updated versions. We don't want to root.

I think for app data, MyBackUp Pro will be your best option...if you use the same Google account on each phone, you will have access to the paid apps from your DX...

Yiur google account or back up assistant will work fine for contacts.
And congrats on keeping unlimited. I just did the same thing. Got my maxx today!

I use (love) appbrain. It keeps track of every app you've downloaded on each phone.

Thinking of going X to the Maxx also!

Got the DX on launch day - it has been a great phone!
I'm thinking I need to upgrade now to lock in my unlimited data plan for a couple more years - wife has 2gb on iPhone too.
Was hoping for the Maxx HD but looks like that will be after the 28th. Not sure I can afford the non-subsidized price.

I should be able to get the Maxx for $199, correct?

A couple of questions:
I currently use Tasker and WidgetLocker - only apps I purchased! Will I need these apps with the Maxx and the upcoming ICS upgrade? I assume SmartActions will do what I am currently doing with Tasker and there appears to be lockscreen options with ICS.

Any other issues going from X to Maxx? Tips?

+1 and something I actually just noticed today. I know Google stores your paid apps, but not the free ones. If you go to the Play Store online and click my apps, everything you ever downloaded is listed and available to download again.

Just got my Maxx yesterday and the Motorola sale of $100 off goes away after tomorrow. Just FYI, they may bring out another deal but who knows. Also a BIG thanks to 94lt1 for all the help the last couple of days :hail:. He showed me the trick that Shadez ^^ was talking about. Very cool, found apps that I had forget that I downloaded. A LOT easier then tring to go back through the play store.

The maxx has been 199 hete (twin falls Idaho ) for a a few weeks.
