Mobile Burn was able to get a hold of a Samsung Galaxy SII running b2g, aka Boot To Gecko, at MWC 2012. The OS is not polished (as expected) but the capabilities are endless with this new OS. Boot 2 Gecko is built upon a Linux kernel, and Mozilla has developed various APIs for functions such as the phone dialer, camera, and 3D graphics. Developers have full access to those APIs, so they can create interfaces and apps, essentially they will have full control over the handset that is running b2g. Developers and carriers will have a field day with these handsets. We are not entirely sure this is a good thing or a bad thing but the possibilities are endless. This could become quite exciting.
