Fixing busted camera app?

Hello,

My wife now finds that now her camera app sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. When it doesn't, the screen turns black and in place of the stack of previous pictures she sees a blue dot.

It may not be irrelevant that she has dropped her phone hard enough to send a spiderweb across the screen.

What, if anything, can we do about this?

Epilogue: After my wife's phone failed, we took it to a Verizon store...and they told us it couldn't be fixed.

Oh well -- thanks anyway!

That's too bad. did you replace it?

We'd kept our previous phones (Motorola Droid Pros), so the good folks at Verizon re-activated hers free of charge and she's OK with that for now.
