FLAC on droid?

Will I be able to play a .FLAC file on my droid? Or is there some plugin or program I can buy/download to do so?

No. Just because some awesome people decided to fix/create a way to do something, does not mean that Motorola/Verizon will have this added to the next firmware patch/upgrade.

No. Just because some awesome people decided to fix/create a way to do something, does not mean that Motorola/Verizon will have this added to the next firmware patch/upgrade.

Perhaps, but this would be a strange and unlikely issue to prevent fixing. I finally took the plunge for the Droid, fed up with the iPhone limitations. I don't want to be contstantly nagged by the fact my music player is less capable when this one issue getting fixed would resolve it.

I'm having the same problem. I have BB 0.8 ESE53. And i cant figure out how to play flac music that i put on my card. Can someone explain how to do it? Thanks

I found a player called andless that will play flac on bugless beast V.9. Player is pretty crude though. Wouldn't want to use it as my full time player.

Success with stock music player and Smoked Glass 2.1!

I'm running the 6.01 Smoked Glass 2.1 ROM that has the FLAC patch. I found this 16bit FLAC file on the internet. I downloaded to my DROID via USB. Renamed the extension to .mp3 and was able to play the file on my DROID using the stock 2.1 music player.

After you download it, rename the .flac extension to .mp3. Also you have to have the flac patch installed (obviously).
