Flash Player -- WHEN?

Hey all -- probably this has been asked a million times but I've not read the forums in quite awhile -- wondering if anyone knows when Adobe Flash might actually be available --? -- and how - when loading a clip that doesn't open automatically -- do i get it to play from the downloads -- YUP not a techno -- sorry to be so "user-illiterate" and THANKS!!! -
