Flash The New 6.0.1 Update For Nexus 5x and 6p Without Wiping Data!

The latest update for Nexus devices is now available in the form of factory images from Google. There are a few downsides to flashing the stock images directly from Google. The fact that doing so wipes your data can be a huge drag. Also the flash-all.bat included with the stock images won't work. You have to flash each part of the update individually. RootJunky has modified the stock images for both the Nexus 5x and Nexus 6p. His modified image comes with working flash-all.bat files for an easy one click update. These images also won't wipe your data! Grab them from the links below.

Nexus 5x no wipe 6.0.1
Nexus 6p no wipe 6.0.1

Why is stock 917MB and his file 934MB?

edit - I see now. ADB and fastboot are included in it.

I just bootlooped it. Guess I still need a modified boot.img.
No, I needed an update TWRP and chainfire's latest SuperSU.

I have found a bug. If I have the DND to Alarm's only, I still hear sounds. Words with friends just made a sound when it was muted in the previous Nov Build.

I've been rooting since my OG Droid in 2010 so this is kind of embarrassing. How do I utilize this zip since it's clearly not flashable?

Download, unzip it to a folder, then run the RunAll-no wipe.bat file. Phone will need to be in bootloader though. Adb reboot bootloader

Well now, don't I feel silly. I should have opened the zip. I'm so used to flashing zips it didn't occur to me to open the zip.
