flashed new sbf, but nothing appears to be changed?

So I am planning on sending my X in for warranty purposes, and I had since rooted the phone with Z4Root. Naturally, i want the phone to look pretty vanilla so they don't void my warranty..

so I loaded up RDLite and got the newest .340 sbf, and proceeded to flash it. It appears to complete successfully, however at the end RDLite told me to manually power on the phone (which had already rebooted and was powered on) ..

so whats different now.. I had blue triangle up top, had to reactivate the phone. However, my wallpaper is still there, all my apps are still there, my recent calls/sms is still there.. it appears as if this did nothing EXCEPT

1. the ninja icon is no longer there (good)
2. when I run wifi tether, it tells me I'm not rooted (also good)

can someone explain what happened? I was expecting the phone to be wiped totally from the beginning and to show the android welcome screen instead.

Would I be OK if I sent the phone in like this?

Do a factory wipe. Turn off phone, Hold down power button and home button for five seconds, android with exclamation point will appear, push the search button to open options, select data/factory reset, scroll with volume keys, select with camera button. Reboot, go into settings, phone info, check to make sure your running the sbf os

I just did this to my DX and it definately works. This is sure fire right here....and way easier than any other SBF I have done yet. Of course this is my first time on a DX.

my kernel version says
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9-g55626e1w30471@il93lnxdroid08 #1

does that mean I'm not stock yet?

Were you just rooted or did you also have a custom rom installed? If you were just rooted you could have uprooted your phone and sent it in like that..

Tappin' away on my DROIDX
