Flashlight App

New Member
I downloaded a Flashlight App to my Droid the other day.

This App uses the flash from the camera as the source of light, it works pretty good.

I'm wondering, using the flash from my camera, will it hurt the flash any way? Will it cause the flash to wear out prematurely ?

Does the camera flash ever wear out ?

Thanks for any response - Tommyd1

I have not been able to find a flashlight app for the Nexus, any thoughts?

Swyped from my Nexus.

What app is this? Switch pro on the market does not seem to match what you have shown here. I really like to be able to change the settings from the drop down notification window. Also are you running a custom rom, I'd like to also know what app you have to get the battery percentage in the notification bar.

To answer the original post, I'm using Colorflashlight HD, tiny and best both read the phones state, call and identity, this app doesn't. Probably doesn't matter but just good to note.

Nerds screenshot appears to be AOKP which is a custom ROM with the torch toggle and batt percentage...

Widgetsoid & More Quickly Panel offers notification toggles but not sure on the functionality with torch...

AOKP...damn have to root, oh well.

I have Widgetsoid and it's great for widgets. But since ICS the battery indicator icon now directs to Phone Status and the flashlight toggle no longer works. Hence the need for the flashlight widget.

Search light is the flashlight I use on all my phones. Works 100% on every phone I tried it on.
