Flickering Charging Light

While charging the droid at night, it gets to the point where it is between 100% and 90% charged. My droids charging light keeps turning on and off while the screen stays on. Any ideas about how to fix this? It is pretty annoying in a dark room.

once the phone is fully charged the light on the side by the charging port should turn off.

as far as the screen staying on you should goto...

menu > settings > applications > development.... then make sure the box next to "Stay Awake" is not checked.

are you using a computer to charge the phone or a wall plug?

Bump with new details.

"Stay Awake" is not selected, I am using the charger/cable that came with the phone from motorola. Video of what is happening below. Half way through the video I turn the screen off, and that sucker comes right back on.
