FM Transmitter Capabilities?

I saw a thread in the original Droid forums about a program that could make the FM antenna broadcast a signal to play music over the radio. The conclusion was that it could not be done because of a hardware issue (an important connection did not exist).

Does anybody know if the Droid X is capable of broadcasting an FM signal?

I found something like this at Walmart and it has worked great. The microphone on it for the speaker phone function is a joke in a noisy vehicle though. It would make LOTS more sence to have an FM modulator built in than a reciever, which is just a novelty when you have Pandora.

Probably get one cheaper than that on eBay or something.

That could work, but what I am talking about is more of a program that reverses the FM antenna and broadcasts a signal. Maybe the better question is does the Droid X have an FM Modulator?

I dont think its possible. It would have to have a transceiver built in. Im a ham radio operator and I know that you cant use a shortwave radio to transmit because it only has a receiver built in.
