Format SD

So I was wondering... if I format my sd card and erase everything on it, is it going to mess up the way my phone functions? I just want to get all the useless stuff off it(I have 2.7 gb of stuff I dont need) and I figured this would be the easiest way to get rid of it all. Anyone know how that would all work?

I highly doubt it will. I doubt the sd card is vital to an android phones functionality. If you were to remove it, it would probably recreate all the necessary folders that the apps needs on the on board flash memory.. And if you were to format it, it would just recreate the apps it needs onto the sd card from scratch.

You can absolutely format your card with no ill effects. If you use your computer to format it, I would also format it with the phone, once you put it in. The phone will rewrite any necessary files the next time it needs them.
