Freezes/Power Crashes?

Anybody experiencing freezes/power crashes? I've had quite a few requiring battery pulls and I'm not sure if it's my ROM, theme, or something else at fault. I'm running 5.06.2 with hexfusion theme and p3droid 1ghz.

I've been running this ROM since it came out and I had one "random" reboot. Otherwise rock-solid.

If I had to guess it would be your phone doesn't like the kernel - try another perhaps? Pure conjecture though.

Either your phone doesn't like that kernel, or your phone can't handle 1 ghz, like the guy above said, try a different kernel.

Try going unthemed first and you can find which kernel your phone likes. I am currently using Bekit's 1100LV and it is running very cool, I usually use P3's 900LV as my phone runs very smooth with it but just a tad bit warmer.

I find it weird that I run Bekit's 1.2GHz LV and it runs constant 1-1.2GHz clock at ~30*C.

I'm running Smoked glass and it randomly started happening last week. my phone randomly reboots often and i've done two recovery's in the last two weeks. Not sure what the deal is. Only thing i can think of is i need to update to 2.1 then not let it happen, but haven't gotten around to doing it yet

I've been hearing a lot about having to battery pull under SG, that may actually be your problem.

Themes can often be the culprit of lot of problems. I'd run stock CM myself if I didn't hate the damn stock theme so much.

I find the stock theme gorgeous.

Why do some phones "like" certain kernels while others don't? Shouldn't all moto droids respond the same to these kernels (assuming they are using the same rom and theme)?

all cpu's are slightly different. Mine hates p3 kernels and throws a fit. I can run bekits lv with no problems at all though.

What type of fits does your phone throw when running a bad kernel? Are there any indicators of a bad kernel vs a bad rom or theme? I switched to from a p3 1.0 to a p3 1.2, and have had less freezes, but the battery usage still seems to be a little high and my battery temps are around 35-40 degrees when using it a lot.
