From UD 9.8 to Stock 2.0.1 now no 2.1 OTA?

My friend asked that I remove UD 9.8 and return his phone to stock without root. So I restored through DM Updater the stock 2.0.1 image. However when I go to update his phone to 2.1 through the OTA, the phone states that it is running the current version. Is there a way to force the update?

place on root of sdcard, rename update.zip and apply through recovery.
