Full screen camera?

Running the latest Justice ROM right now. I really miss the old camera, from Froyo I think, that had full screen for capturing images/video. This newer GB camera is real small and grainy looking.

Is there ANY alternative?

Thanks, all.

I applied the camerea zip and now I have no camera at all.

Unfortunately, that zip hasn't been tested with other releases.. :(

The patch replaced /system/app/camera.apk, so just need to put back the file from your ROM, and it should work again.

sephtin,

I know its your post on the camera so you should have the newest info, but my question is how did the op apply the camera apk... I have used that apk with several roms and it has worked fine. Could it just be the way it was applied? Installing vs going through clockwork?

Thanks Monica

I rebooted clockwork and installed the zip. Flashed to CM7 last night. Same tiny camera :(

2nd-init roms (CM7, Liquid GB, Justice, MIUI) all completely do away with Motorola's Blur framework, so it's impossible to use the Droid X's stock camera.

That camera works with some ROMs that have *most* blur removed, but there may be other dependancies...
If it was installed correctly (via CWM), and doesn't show, I have to assume it's either a weird permissions issue, or that there's a missing dependancy or other incompatibility...
