G mail sync issues... one fix to try

I had the issue of Gmail not syncing on my Dx2. For that matter, nothing related to Google would sync! I could do it manually, but it would not do it automatically. I also didn't have any check boxes next to the individual items in the gmail settings!
What I found is that the Motorola Power widget controls ALL sync features! Almost like a main power switch for sync. Make sure you have the sync feature on this widget turned on! As soon as I turned it on, everything worked like it's supposed to.

I am not saying that this is the answer to everyone's issue, but it worked for me! I was on the phone with VZW for about an hour trying to figure this out and we were about to do a factory reset and Josh suggested that we check this..... IT WORKED!

Yep had the same issue on my wife's DX. Took me a while to figure it out as well. Stupid that it is a widget that controls all of that.

The worst part about it is that VZW didn't even know what to do! I had no idea that this widget controls and over rides the other features of the phone! It is extremely useful to have on your screen because you can toggle everything very easily but I am a little concerned that this widget can have this much control over the device. I used to use individual toggle widgets before.

FIXED - add the power widget to your home screen. Make sure sync is selected.
