Galaxy Nexus continious reboot - help!!

Hi - I had no signal this morning on my phone, so rebooted. Ever since then it has been going on continuous reboot every 10 seconds or so. With only "Google" appearing and then rebooting.

I went into recovery mode, and got a droid with a red exclamation mark, after a minute it started continuous reboot again. In recovery mode I pressed power + volume keys, and cleared the cache partition. That didn't help either.

Other things I haven't tried, as I don't want to wipe off my data if its not needed. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I am clueless about all this!

Thanks in advance

Did you try pulling the battery?

Leave the battery out of the device for 30-60 seconds then try it again. If I were you I'd take out the SIM card too
