It looks like we have more hints regarding the rumored Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime. According to the latest intel, the device will be announced in June, but will only become available in limited quantities. Furthermore, it will likely only launch in Samsung's backyard, South Korea. Supposedly, the phone has already started its “interoperability” tests the week, so it's not fare from being production ready.
Here's a refresh of rumored specs in case you missed it before:
- 5.2-inch 2560 x 1440 display
- 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor
- Adreno 420 GPU
- 3GB of RAM
- 32GB of storage
- 16-megapixel camera
- 2-megapixel front-facing camera
- Android 4.4.2 KitKat
Finally, we are also hearing additional suggestions that this will be Samsung's first foray into a metal designed body. As always, we will keep our eyes out for any further developments.
Thanks for the tip!
Updated: Here's a link to another story which seems to point to some of the same conclusions as this one. Reportedly, the Galaxy S5 Prime will be an LTE-A device for South Korea only: Samsung Galaxy S5 with 2,560×1,440 screen, Snapdragon 805 CPU listed, may be exclusive to Korea | Unwired View
