Galaxy S7 Renders Hit The Web!

Yesterday some rumors from "sources close samsung" suggested we would see features like a microsd card slot, and waterproofing. Today A full design leak hit the web. The renders in the leak are based off of the detailed blueprints given to case manufacturers ahead of a phone's release. In the renders we see that the phone is a slightly thicker 7.9mm. That is up from the Galaxy S6's 6.8mm. This could be due to the larger battery that has also been rumored.

As far as the design of the Galaxy S7 is concerned this is one pretty sweet looking phone. It has the same curved back as the Note 5. It also has a slightly curved display. The camera bump is smaller than that of the Galaxy S6, and other than that the design is much the same of the S6. The S7 retains the front and back glass, and the metal edge.

From what we can see in the renders it appears that there is no separate sdcard slot, however that doesn't mean that we won't see a hybrid sdcard/simcard slot. There is no way to confirm waterproofing in these renders. The renders show a micro usb cable port instead of the USB c port which is a bummer. The device is expected to release in February.

Why is it a bummer that it may have a micro USB port? Isn't that a good thing? People would be able to use the same car chargers and other accessories they own already and not have to buy all new Type C cables? Or am I missing some important function that the Type C connector brings?
