Gallery Issue

I'm having issues with the gallery. When I'm trying to look at my pics, it shows some but white out the others and eventually show them but after a while. Is there a way to fixthat or an alternative app?

Quickpic or 3d gallery in the market both free. i use quick pic most. it can raise you brightness to full while viewing pics and can exclude certain folders and is very fast. gallery is like stock Google android but fast.
