Gallery3D crashes

Hello all - i downloaded the google 3d gallery application, because the default "Photos" app doesn't sync to google picasa (and is total crap)

2 questions -

1. with the gallery app i dont have an album for photos taken on this phone (no clue)

2. in the upper right corner if i click on the camera icon to bring up the camera, the app crashes and i get the following message:

"Sorry - The application Gallery (process com.cooliris.media) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again"

any clue?
