GB liberty Facebook sync issue

Is there no way to sync facebook contacts on liberty gingerbread?

I'm having the same problems man... It was fixed for me in 0.4, but since updating to 0.5, facebook won't sync again.

That's a feature Google pulled from gingerbread because it violated a policy of some sort. On some roms it works, some it doesn't.

Well it didn't work in Liberty GB .2, but it worked in .3 and .4, but now not in .5... so how does this make sense?

It may just be the version of the facebook app that's installed that affects it. I figure an older version that still sported feature would work. It's working on my phone right now (2.0.1)
