Gear s3 with att

I'm about to get a gear s3 and I'm trying to figure out if I have to get another line to use the cell data features or can it piggyback off my current phone line?

you may already have the answer by now but for future reference for anyone searching the forum, AT$T as a feature called NumberSyc where you can share your phone number with compatible devices.
