Getting PdaNet to Bluetooth Internet Connection To Laptop

With the mighty "V" keeping me from using wireless tether, I've decided to go the bluetooth route.

I purchased one of those small bluetooth adapters off eBay for a couple of bucks and received it a couple days ago. I've tried to no end to get this thing to bluetooth the internet connection to the laptop. The adapter installs just fine. When I go to add the phone, everything seems to go great at first as it states that "This device has been successfully added to this computer." But after a few moments I then get the message that "drivers were not succesfully installed".

I'm using the directions on the site listed >HERE<

Specs of my DX are... running rooted GB .596. PC is a Toshiba laptop running Win7 Premium 64bit.

Am I doing something wrong? I'd like to get this going as I'm heading on vacation in a little over a week and would like to ability to tether without SBF'ing back to Froyo.

That either means it's been answered numerous times before and people are tired of posting the answer, or nobody knows a fix. I'm gonna guess it's the latter, as I did a search and couldn't come up with any solution.
