Gingerbread for droidx

Ok so I'm hearing that gingerbread is coming to droidx soonish and I'm pretty sure I wont get the update cuz I'm rooted and and have liberty l...so my question is how does one acquire this update when it comes out?

On the previous update you needed to have all bloat put back, clockwork recovery removed, and no root. So if I were you I would grab a clean sbf and hold on to it.

I'm stock rooted which means I have root but I didnt put a rom on so can I just uninstall droid x bootloader because thats all I put on there all my bloat ware is the same I only rooted for wireless tether

Word is Gingerbread on the X has not been rooted as of yet. The previous exploit was patched. I would suggest waiting when it comes out unless you want to run 100% stock.

i think this is everything u need when i had to sbf my phone i used rsd lite 4.8 the 4.9 wouldnt work for me

Thanks for the help I was wondering that also. But I have a question, are you able to root right away? From what I read on this it sounds like you can't. But for some reason that just doesn't make sense in my mind.

after sbf? yeah u should be able to root after u flash it
