Gingerbread in Q2

well, Q2 starts Friday, so theoretically it could be as early as then

But just for bragging rights, hopefully HTC will feel pressured by Moto to get it out sooner than later (as long as it's ready!)

thunderbolt is great as is... but maybe 2.3 will give us skype video calling and htcsense.com integration? what are the other benefits of 2.3?

I think the HTCSense.com integration is a VZW not wanting us to have it issue...but I sure hope I'm wrong.
GSM phones have it on Froyo...

I've had gingerbread on my rooted droid 1 for many months now. Looks better, smoother, and ... looks better. <cough>. <Monty Python: "And there was much rejoicing" yaaaaay....>

i think froyo is plenty smooth... and fast. i'm aware on incoming calls (my eris got voicemails, not calls), i get texts instantly (little to no wait) and calls go through when i want them to.

how does gingerbread look better?

Us as TB users will probably not notice much changes as far as looks wise between Froyo & Gingerbread, only because Sense 2.0 has completely overtaken the look of Froyo & made it its own. The TB has Froyo but looked nothing like the Froyo on my Droid. So in essence when Gingerbread comes out with whatever bugs it may have fixed from Froyo, we'll notice those changes but unless HTC releases a newer version of Sense (2.1?) then then GB will just run quietly in the background.

I do hope this gets Sense 2.1 with the Gingerbread release. Just having the power control widgets built into the notifications ala TouchWiz / every custom ROM would be a great enhancement.
