Gingerbread update failed D2G

My phone used to be rooted with z4root but its not anymore. I download the update, it restarts my phone and the progress bar goes to halfway before stopping and starting up my phone which says update failed. Whats wrong?

You need to do an SBF back to Froyo then do the update. Google Droid 2 Global SBF and follow the tutorial.

When did you download the update? The D2G update was pulled by Motorola recently.

I just have the 2, not the Global. Yeah, the Global update is likely down through the beginning of next week to fix a Microsoft Exchange issue.

Alright, I suppose I'll wait and try again. Will the update possibly fix the screen tweaking out or is that caused by something else? It's just really unresponsive and glitchy most of the time. I don't know if it's cause of the dust that somehow got behind the screen or a software thing. I only say that because there was dust under there before and it wasn't behaving as badly.
