And you have to be a real idiot to screw up rooting on this phone. I mean a complete moron. I am not intending to insult any one, but all that you have to do is install the z4root app, search for it here or google, launch the app, click permanent root(if USB degugging is not turned on it will instruct you to find the option and turn it on), and let the phone reboot. Also, since we have the ability to SBF it is pretty hard to truly brick the phone.

Sbf is not needed when you root and un-root your phone with z4root ( side note)

He was saying because the sbf file is available for this phone, it's harder to brick the phone. Nothing was said about using it to unroot, although you could do that...

A little off topic here, aren't we?
Ok. Back to gingerbread.
What issues are supposedly going to be resolved with gingerbread?
What are the "improvements" that gingerbread has?

I could do with an update. Not a fan of frozen yogurt anyway.

By the way Miss Yuno, is there a way to contact you aside from Twitter? Weird question, I know, but when I find someone interesting (doesn't happen often, trust me) I just feel the need to get to know them. Not looking for anything special, just friendly chat. Let's just say I like your style.

I went to the motorola website an did an online chat with a rep. I asked him if the droid 2 global was ever gonna get gingerbread. His reply was " there is no future plans on upgrading the droid 2 global with gingerbread". Go online to motorola chat and ask the question yourself. Curious to see if you get the same answer.

Update: Called verizon tech yesterday, they said we "will" be getting gingerbread?????

I guess nobody really knows.....
