Gmail App disappeared with Upgrade HELP

I did the update to Froyo last night and it somehow uninstalled my Gmail Application - when I go into settings, it indicates I'm still sync'd with my gmail account, but the icon for the Gmail app has changed to a generic Droid icon and when I select it, it tells me the Application is not installed.

Any ideas, other than doing a reset to factory defaults? If I do the reset, what do I risk losing?
