GMAIL App - Label Synch - How Does it Work

Hi,
I finally got around to organizing my email addresses and settled on gmail

I set up my labels and all is well, however, can someone explain how the label syncing works?

ex..There is an option "select which labels are synchronized" There are several options :
None
30 Days
All

What do the options actually do? Is one option better than the other (battery life/memory-disk space used)?

  • If I select NONE - Does that mean I have to manually sync? If so, what will it pull down? Everything in that label- kinda like a "Manual" All?

  • If I select 30 Days - Does that mean that messages over 30 days will not be shown on the phone

  • If I select ALL - Does that mean that the phone grabs the messages as if they were new each time I open the label? (thinking that is bad for battery)

My inbox is pretty clean now so experimenting is kind of a pain and I dont have any messages over 30 days to test with.

Any insight?

Quick note- I just realized that the "30 Days" is relative to the Duration I Selected. I'm assuming that means that the phone will sync any conversation that is less than 30 days old.
