Gmail Application now always prompting for account

Hello All,

I've searched and searched on this issue, but to no avail...

The other day, I added a secondary gmail account to my phone, but then decided to remove it after seeing that the stock email app constantly prompts me for which account I want to use every time I launch it.

I removed the second account (leaving only my primary account), but the email application is STILL prompting me to select an account. It even shows a count of 1 on the account selection page!?!?!

Has anybody seen this? The only solution I've found is to do a factory reset, which really seems like swatting a fly with a two-ton boulder...

I'm running a Droid X2, non-rooted, stock, etc, running on Gingerbread (2.3.3) and the stock email application.

Thanks!

I would try clearing any cache/data from the email application before doing a factory reset. Just a guess...
