Gmail application

For whatever reason my gmail application is not synching new incoming mail. I'm using the gmail application on my atrix. I just noticed this issue today when I logged into my gmail from my work pc and noticed 50 new messages, however, my phone showed no new messages.

I have trouble shooted this issue thoroughly on my own, cleared the data, rebooted, etc etc but it's still not synching on it's own.

What should / could I do about this?

I've been through all of my settings and can't seen to get to my "account & sync settings" how do I access that setting menu. I go to accounts in settings and it only allows me to manually sync; there is no auto sync option.

From the home screen...Menu>>Settings>>Accounts & Sync

Yea. The account & sync is not there once I enter settings. Accounts is available, but doesn't allow me to auto sync.

Missed seeing you have the Atrix...

give this a look...Settings -> Data Manager -> Data Delivery -> Background Data

Sometimes, checking and unchecking the background data box will do it.

Settings/applications/manage Applications/All/Gmail/Clear Data.

It will take a few minutes to reset itself. Should be ok then.

Tried everything: rebooting, updating app, verification password, password reset, clear data, data background uncheck, ......still not auto synching

From the home screen:

Menu/Settings/Accounts & Sync/ then tap your email account name and a new menu will popup - is the "Sync Gmail" block checked there too?

There is no "accounts & sync" tab on my phone. And three accounts tab only allows me to sync manually.
