My gmail contact list is extensive and I don't want all of them to appear in my phone. Is there a way to select only certain ones that I want show in my phone contact list?
All you've gotta do is within Gmail, create a subgroup in your contacts...say "phone", for instance. Put all your phone contacts in that group. Then on the contacts on your phone, go to your display options in the options menu and choose Gmail. From there you can just select the "phone" group and only those will show. Hope that helps!
I setup a whole different gmail account for my phone and I keep that email account only related to the phone, apps etc.....
Then I have another account thats my personal account I've used for years for general email stuff which has never had prority to have any phone numbers at all on that one.
I never sync the droid contacts with the personal account.. only with the one I created for the phone.
