Gmail icon on Samsung

Hi Everyone,

Sorry to post about such a minute detail but this one is driving me crazy. The icon for Gmail doesn't show me a number when I have new emails. Meaning the Messaging icon and email icons will have (for ex) a number 3 in the top right corner of the icon when three new messages have arrived. Gmail for some reason doesn't show me this sort of info. I have looked all around in settings to see what should be some sort of a simple setting but I can't find anything. Is this functionality that just doesn't exist or am I missing something that is right in front of my face?

IDT there's a way of doing it. I've never seen it. Sorry.

It does not work with touchwiz. I believe it will with apex or Nova pro.

I found a great app that does the trick. Check out "unread G Mail widget". In the app store.

I used to have one called Gmail Unread Count that worked great, too.
