Gmail Notifications not being received.

Ever since I updated Gmail the other day I am not getting gmail notifications I have to open gmail and then hit menue then refresh to get the emails to show up.. Is anyone else having this problem. I am thinking they goobered up the update. I have checked every setting on my phone and nothing has changed so it must be a problem with the app...

Just a heads up in case anyone else has this problem in the future. I went to the applications menu and pulled up the Gmail app, Forced stopped it and cleared all data then restarted the app and had to reselect my account and now it works and is syncing just fine.
