going to sleep and not waking up

So i got a Droid yesterday (replacing my junk Eris) and already issues. minor but still

When my phone goes to sleep it will not come out of it without a battery pull. this only happens occasionally and i notice its after a phone call. any ideas out there on a fix?

Bought A Droid X the first day it came out, within 24 hours it was going into sleep mode and not waking up. Returned it for another, and with 2 hours the same thing was happening. According to the instructions, you can wake the phone by either pressing the home key or the on/off button at the top, but neither of these work. Just about to return the second one tomorrow. Just about had it with this machine. Kind of reminds me of Microsoft, no beta before it's time.
