Google Checkout not accepting my CC anymore

Hey folks,

did this ever happen to you? SUDDENLY, my creditcard wont be accepted anymore, though its valid and got mony on (its prepayed)....
It was working last week when i bought a gameloft game...and then suddenly stopped working!

Anyo suggestions/advises?

The only thing I can think of is for some reason the bank that handles that prepaid card has decided not to allow transactions. I doubt it's Google.

Afraid you're going to have to break out a real credit card and see if you get the same message. What message is it giving you anyway?

It happened to me once when i was using a prepaid card. I switched to a standard CC and it works fine. (only drawback of most prepaid cards is no international purchasing)

I have never had any luck with the pre paid cards on google checkout.. i always ended up linking it to my checkcard seing how i have no credit card.. ii know this does not help your problem but i am interested in it as well..

But it worked on google checkout all the time! i have it since decembre last year...and it worked from there.... i cant imagine what happened.

And i cant call my bank cuz its a holiday today in germany

I've only really had that problem with prepaid when trying to make an international purchase. The first CC I had on there allowed international purchases, the next one did not.

Also that worked fine all the times. i bought from china, us uk...never been a problem -.-

Is this issue just with one specific application, or any paid app from Google's Android Market? Sometimes I have read that the market will accept only bank issued credit cards, because they are having problems with prepaid/gift cards with visa/mastercard logo. Not any help on your issue I know, but be aware that the market is trying to phase out the use of non bank issued cards

Right now, its happening with every app, because google checkout is not accepting my creditcard anymore. everytime i try to add it, checkout declines....but like i said, it was working for 6 months until alst week

i know this has been reiterated already, but what most likely happened is your Credit Card redflagged one of your recent purchases (maybe from gameloft)... and they froze your acct to prevent "Fraud"...

you will need to contact them when your holiday is over to settle it. it has happened to me before when i tried to purchase something from China

The first usable contribution...i mean, that i had to call my bank was clear to me, but what is a cc "redflagged" for?

sorry, i meant your credit card company redflagged your credit account to prevent any fraudulent charges. not a big deal, all you need to do is call your credit card company and tell them the purchase was legit.
