Google Chrome bookmarks

On my Moto Z Play, I find many times when I'M on a webpage and want to bookmark it....I click on the the dots on the upper right corner, but there is no star to touch to save the bookmark.

What should I do to correct this?

I do not have chrome in front of me but you should have a menu button, click on it, and there should be a star there. I think it may be at the bottom of the screen.
