It's no surprise that Google engineers are getting in on the April Fool's Day fun. The folks at Google are infamous for their devotion to humorous creativity on this day each year. Here's a smattering of jokes from those crazy Googlers:

Google is looking for the best Pokémon Master to bring Google Maps to the next dimension - (this one is shown off in the video above and was actually started yesterday to get the ball rolling for today)

Google’s new Magic Hand - (the next video above shows Google's creative new input method)

There were too many to do in one post, so check out the thread below for more.

The next "trick" we have above is a team-up between Nest and Virgin America CEOs.

This next one is a Chromecast for Squirrels. It's perfect for all of the folks out there who have sentient, english-speaking squirrels for pets.

Here we have Google Play Signature Edition. That sounds pretty legit doesn't it?

Finally we have Viral Video Trends. This could also very easily be a real product. Enjoy!

Am I the only person in the world who is really sad that the Pokemon Master one is not real? Seriously, it looks like they could VERY easily make that an AR game, and I would buy the **** out of it.

If you thought the Pokemon one was real, and disappointed that it's not real, then go geocaching.

I didn't think it was real, I was disappointed that it wasn't. And Geocaching, though fun, is not Pokemon. I'm talking about an app that would use the phone's camera and would add Pokemon onto the screen. And the phone's accelerometer would control things like the fishing pole, and you would flick the screen to throw a pokeball, and things such as that.
