Google Gmail Issue

I have gmail account and receive email on the Eris via IMAP. However, I always get two event notices for each email, on the top of my screen, one with the M and one with the email logo. Is there a way to only get one?

Pull down your top status bar and click on the new email, which will open gmail. Hit menu to bring up settings and then in there, about half way down you can uncheck email notifications.
Should fix it for you.
