In the last week or so I have been plagued a half dozen times by the Google login confirmation screen where you have to interpret a random word that's barely legible and type it in to confirm your Google login before you are allowed to do any voice searches or even load the Android market. It pretty much renders the data portion of your phone useless until you can complete the confirmation successfully. This is a tremedous PITA! I sometimes have to go through 20-30 iterations before I can get a character pattern that I can read. The characters are way to small and garbled for someone with my old eyes to decipher. Is there a way to disable or avoid this? Why did it start happening in the first place? The worst part is that it always seem to happen at the most inopportune time. At this point, it is no longer an acceptable inconvenience.
