Google map zoom

Can someone point me in the direction of putting the zoom button features on Google maps....why would this not be on their anyways??

If your talking about the stock maps app on your phone you just pinch & zoom.

In google maps go to Menu, Settings, Labs, zoom buttons are on the bottom of the list.

you can pinch-to-zoom or double tap. They're also in the settings as kenman mentioned

What about when in Navigation? there doesn't appear a way to get any Labs selection from the settings menu?

When in Navigation it's only pinch and zoom?

was not happy about the exclusion from nav either. maybe they will add it back in.
