Google Maps for Android has received an update that brings the app to version 6.12. The update includes a couple of notable changes, including search history syncing between multiple devices. The new feature offers to remember a users previous map searches and makes them available on all of their devices. The update also brings one handed zoom, which allows users to tap the screen twice then slide for zoom. You can grab the update on the play market here or snap the QR code below. Let us know what you think.

When I snaped this code it took me to Gmail instead of Google Maps.

The update works on the Rezound for those still having fears due to the last couple of updates causing problems on theirs. No random reboots and no running the battery down on.

I like the tap and slide to zoom. It does make things a bit easier.

I like the update BUT....
When i use the Traffic Widget, it no longer shows me the red zones!
Only if i am in maps itself and add the traffic layer but that doesnt do me any good.
I use the Traffic widget real time in case i need to bypass routes.
