google maps has just been updated to 4.4! it is in the market.

Happy to say that it installed in the latest version of Froyo with no issues. You remember the last update there was an issue getting it to install. Not this time.

Pushed the update button with just a little hesitation (justified I think) and started the download. Started to install and Opps - fail! Google Maps install unsuccessful! Oh well (big sigh). Still have 4.3 and it works just fine.

It downloaded fine for me (BB0.4) and installed fine. The GPS was way off when I first started it. Did a reboot, moved outside, and it found me. Anyone use the new features yet?

I didn't have to do the maps fix for the last update but looks like I'll be trying when I get home.
