Google play ratings that I've left regularly disappear

Several ratings I've left for Apps in Google Play have disappeared after I left them. This happens both through the webpage version of the Play Store and the Android app. Have others experienced this? It makes me trust the play store even less and wish there was an independent system rating apps which was trustworthy.

I have not seen any of my ratings disappear, but I have noticed lately that a few apps keep asking me to rate them, when I already have and my rating is visible. Maybe it's an issue with this latest Play Store update?
