google search button is broken

I recently updated to the new version of google search in the market and unfortunately when I click on the search button at the bottom of the phone it wont bring up search. =[

What can I do?

Move google search to /system/app and it will work

or

don't use search it's overrated anyways :icon_evil:

In Terminal (3 lines):
sysrw
ln -s /data/app/com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox*.apk /system/app/GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk
sysro

And reboot. This maps your market version to the system folder.
 
Mine says link failed read only file system even though i did sysrw at the beginning help please.
(Update) Fixed with root explorer
