Google Skypmap not moving correctly

Not sure if this is problem with my phone, or the actual application, but say I'm standing outside looking at the big dipper, not only does the skymap show something else, but if I move my phone left to right it will move in the opposite direction or move a little bit then stop. Moving the phone up and down seems to work fine, but again it never shows the stars it should be showing.

I checked my phone calibration and it seems to be fine, is there something else I could be doing wrong?

uninstall and reinstall, it gets confused occasionally(usually upon removing and reinserting your sd card) off topic, but am i the only one that finds skymaps an amazing tool for getting chicks? whats with girls and stars?
