Is Google About to Announce Gingerbread aka Android 2.3?

The Google Mobile Twitter account just sent out the above tweet which included a picture of a bunch of Android gingerbread cookies. Does this mean Android 2.3 is about to be announced? We’ll be keeping an eye out!
